How to upgrade the seamoth?

OK this is just plain a silly question. How do you upgrade the seamoth. i have a moonpool and I have the console that lets me fabricate an upgrade. I have on in my inventory but the console at the moonpool only lets my change the ship colour and name. I just want to add the depth upgrade. No obvious panel to click on anywhere.

There's a small panel on one side of the seamoth. You can insert the modules there.

No now i find it, a area on the upper nacelle on the left is a little panel. how well hidden can we make it?

There is nothing hidden, I don't see how you can miss the panel, I mean you can clearly see it every time you get the in and out of the seamoth. You're just not very observant, and then you try to lay the blame somewhere else. Thousands of players were able to see it and then there's you.

There is nothing hidden, I don't see how you can miss the panel, I mean you can clearly see it every time you get the in and out of the seamoth. You're just not very observant, and then you try to lay the blame somewhere else. Thousands of players were able to see it and then there's you.

This is why we can never have nice things. The observant will note that my ask and answer posts are literally 2 minutes apart, some of us are in such a hurry to hoot. It's aimed at my experience and expectation differing from others, it's a joy we don't share all of our experiences. If we did everyone would paint their homes the same color for starters.

I'm a but confused now however since the panel does not auto-close itself like so many other panels do. Yes of course I knew there was an access panel, when hunting for the power cell port, which has a clear outline, I invariably did find the upgrade panel, and then forget about it. thanks for the quick pointer as usual

To be fair, if you get in on the other side then you'd miss it. You'd be unlikely to happen to see it getting out no matter which side. In the water, I usually go in through the top or the front, so again it might take a while to notice. It depends on your expectations as well. They could easily have made it so you just look at it from any direction and a prompt would come up, so if you were expecting something like that then it might take a while to figure it out. They could also have had you upgrade it from the inside; that's what they do with the cyclops after all. Plus, dude, the OP acknowledged it was silly question, no need to rub it in. Anyway, the power cell is even harder to find; I'm pretty sure that's about as well hidden as they could make it.

I like how the cyclops grants access to the upgrades and storage via the terminal. The inconsistency between the moonpool and cyclops terminals is a bit odd.

It is like the Fabricator. Step away from it. It will close.
