Where to find lots of cyclops hull/engine fragments
I have 3 bridge fragments but only one of both the hull and engine fragments, I've looked for hours but I cant find any! I'm getting tired of looking and I'm considering quitting, does anyone know where I can find lots of them? (also preferably in a place where there's no reaper leviathans)

Hull - Mushroom forest.
Engine - near the underwater mountains, and the back of the Aurora.

The hull/bridge fragments are most common in the northeast mushroom forest. The best way to find them is to set up a scanner room in that biome and search for fragments.

The engine fragments are common in the Underwater Islands biome, especially near the large wreck there. This is pretty much directly north of lifepod 3.

Engine - also Crag Field, Cargo Bay 3 of the Aurora, and along the entire western border of the Crash Zone. Survey it from 70-80 meters outside.
(There ARE Reapers to the east of the sand dunes on that boundary, but you can search from further away, and sneak in to grab from the western slope.)

Hull/Bridge - also the other (NW) Mushroom Forest.

I just got the blueprint in an alternate playthrough. Hull and bridge in the mushroom forest. One engine piece in the Aurora, the other two near a wreck in the floating islands (a few hundred meters north from lifepod 3). That's where I found them anyway; I don't know if the the locations are randomized. There are more scattered near the Aurora, if you don't mind tangling with a reaper that is.

Likely biomes, and likely areas of concentration are constant. Actual density and distribution in each likely location is semi-randomized in each playthrough.

For example: In any given playthrough, there can be 0 to 3 engine fragments in cargo Bay 3 of the Aurora.

the very edge of the crash zone on the west side, you should be able to find enough engine pieces while not getting in agro range of the reaper, just pay attention in case it does go near you.

This search technique/approach never seems to be explained enough, when this topic comes up.

so you'll want to start by heading directly behind the aurora, so those thruster looking things on the aurora? they made a trench behind them when they landed, thats where you're gonna want to be looking, it's got a ridge on the west side separating it from the other biomes. usually 1 reaper patrols from about the as far west as the center of the left thrusters all the way back to the right thrusters. It doesn't seem to really go north and south much. there might be another reaper much further south in the trench but it's too far for you to have to care when looting.

i stroll on up to the ridge from the nearby kelp forest. I then skim down the across the top of the ridge away from the aurora looking for roughly person sized cylinder fragments, these are engine pieces. These pieces should be able to be found along the downward slope on the crash zone side of the ridge, so you shouldn't have to go all the way to the bottom of the left side of the crash zone trench(so prob no reaper agro). i tend to find them between half way down and 2/3rds down the slope. another thing to note at the roughly the top of the ridge you will be in the grassy plateau/crash zone biome rather than the crash zone trench sub-biome, so the fog should be a lot less and you'll have better visibility for seeing the reaper before you make you rush to any fragments you see. the fragments are typically cylinders that's larger at the center.

if the reaper DOES agro you, you'll be fine if you're at full health, just don't run away all the way into the kelp forest while it's charging as it might stick around there attacking stalkers/fish, just let it take a little nibble if you agro it before hoping back over to the safe side of the ridge.

Ooh! That last paragraph is some very nice, very insightful advice. I like that secondary objective of NOT pulling the Reaper into the Kelp Forest, which gets a little awkward when it happens.

I found the most of them at some wrecked Lifepods like Lifepod 13 and 9

@JoshiStun:
Really? Cool, and good for you.

However, almost certainly a coincidence. I don't think that in the case of Cyclops fragments, the random distribution C-fragments within a biome is linked to lifepods at all.

There are a couple large wreck chunks that are linked to a greater incidence of each type of C-frag (Notably, the Underwater Islands wreck, for engine parts), but not lifepods.

Okay. Actually I just found 5 fragments near a lifepod. And when I googled it, it said the exact same thing as you.

I recently (yesterday) found 4 fragments of the Cyclops in the Mushroom Forest. It was my first time there and I found a lot. (Including diamonds and moon pool parts)

I used to have a screen shot that had, in frame, 3 engine fragments lying on the western outer sand dune slope of the border of the Crash Zone. I took it from the nearby Kelp Forest.

One game day after completing my Cyclops engine blueprint with 1 scan from inside, another from the Crag Zone, and the third one from the Underwater Islands.

Fate.

Now I always survey down the outside of that sand dune boundary shortly after I get a Seamoth.

We carefull not to swim too far out, yesterday I found a Reaper Leviathan. It was almost too late when i saw it (I even saw its color)
