If you mean, are you going to find your own TC on a subsequent playthrough, the answer is it isn't impossible, but REALLY HIGHLY UNLIKELY.
Once your TC gets approved into the data base for seeding subsequent games (for which there is a huge backlog, and no longer a high priority at UWE), you have no better chance of seeing your own TC than you have of seeing any other TC prepared by any of thousands of other players.
Totally up to you. It is a purely spiritual little reward, a "pay it forward" to other players. Is that worth it to you?
people have left tools, pets, stuff and sometimes the messages are more heartwarming then anything they might have given you.
heck i still remember 'my' first message, and i said something along the lines of "my Cyclops was my home, my base, my safe haven in the deep waters, even surrounded by monsterous creatures that would tear me apart, it kept me safe, she took me everywhere, and even when i nearly lost her, she brought me home. So if you find this, remember that... treat her like a woman, and she'll always see you home."
The one with the creepy Markiplierr doll, plus instructions on how to break the bad luck curse by dropping two more capsules just like it.
No. Once it's uploaded to the database, it's there for good......unless the database administrators decided to wipe it or some crazy catastrophe happens that wipes their database. And, don't worry....if you had put some bad (shame on you) type stuff into it....it'll get flagged and never make it into the database anyway. .......at least, it's supposed to get removed.
"When the player launches the Neptune Rocket with a valid Time Capsule set it will be deployed. The data on its contents is sent to the voting site, where the users can upvote and downvote Time Capsules. Capsules with enough upvotes, after being screened, will be seeded into the game world for other players to find. "

1 - Large Filtered Water
2- Ruby
3 - Uraninite Crystal - enough for one rod
An image of my safe swallows base with a short message.
Looking through the website i don't get why people put in high level items and images of leviathans. I do find it funny people are still putting in cuddlefish eggs and other items that will get filtered out but i don't think anymore capsules will ever get added. I would not say no if they wiped it clean and started over with a better system in place.
On a side note now that i finished the game i am going looking for them i found 6-7 so far two were empty with nice messages and the others had low level stuff in them even one opal.
