You have the drill, propulsion, torpedo and grappling arm.
You don't need to craft the "arm" no. It's part of the default Prawn suit, but finding "Claw Arms" and scanning them do unlock the Prawn. They just add small percentages of the progress because it's intended for you to find the full prawn suit in the Aurora.
Just sometimes the Claw Arms seems to be bugged.
(Trying to not get too game history complicated here.)
They used to be scannable, to add minor percentages to the PRAWN Suit blueprint.
It never worked right. They never really helped you get the PRAWN.
As of SN 2.0, those bits were changed to the item category of "decorations". They aren't scannable, and they don't add toward the P Suit blueprint.
The default PRAWN Suit has 2 claw arms when built. It always has. And they don't detach. The specialty arms attach onto the default claw arms, if you want to view it that way.
Ignis explained all this in several posts in the months leading up to SN 2.0
I haven't messed with claw arm fragments in 2.0 yet. You might be able to pick one up like some other "decorations", i.e. the Gray Hat, the Model Car. Not sure.
Explains why I can't scan it, but as for picking them up I couldn't. I'm guessing they are just random clutter decorations for some of the wrecks then.
