Can you play offline???
Is it playable without an internet connection? Or is it strictly an online game??

It's strictly an offline game.

Anytime you want to know that about a game;
In steam, on the menu bar, click Steam and choose 'Go Offline.'
Then exit steam. Open your network connections menu (network icon on taskbar) and disable your network adapter. You're now disconnected from the internet.
Launch Steam, choose to start in Offline mode. Launch game and play.
If the game 'requires' an internet connection (online mode) it'll tell you at that point. Otherwise, no....it can be played without internet connection. Most games can be played this way. The exception is only if it's an MMO or game that has it's game world hosted on an online server--which are typically Massively Multiplayer Online games. I've almost never had a game that wasn't an MMO demand to have an online connection......except in the old days of installing from a cd and needing to unlock it via online validation.

Yes.
But when playing offline, you won't find time capsules. And these are nice treasures to find
