i do use SML Helper from nexusmods "SMLHelper 2.14.1-113-2-14-1-1667238577"
In this case.
For the QMM i am using "QModManager 4.4.4 (Subnautica)-201-4-4-4-1667237757"
at the moment these are the mods i got in the "QMods" file:

yet i dont undestand why is the SML mod not compatible with the Legacy version? seeing as the SML mod is fairly seen as a "required" mod in most of the other mods provided for use in subnautica?
The Subnautica devs don't make the mods, other people do, and they have no control over the mod content, so they're not responsible for anything that may be caused by mods. Do you get the same crashes even with no mods at all?
Also it's Christmas, they're probably all on break.
They dont support other peoples work lol.
Try removing your mods and verifying subnautica and then re-installing the mods.
QMM does not work with the latest Subnautica update(living large) so you will need to remain on the previous patch.
Even without mods it still happens. Only game it happens with any other game more demanding etc i have no crash issue with at all.
not to be mean but looks like u didnt read my main post at all stating that i use legacy version and not latest release.
i also tried it without any mod and it still happaned this post is mainly because it only happens with this game.

You are using 2.0 tools for a legacy build.
This will not work.
Get rid of the whole bepinex installation for now (this includes the mods).
Preferably do a clean install of SN, at least verify, run a vanilla (unmodded) game and see if it still crashes (should not).
After that you can start modding.
Either you play legacy or 2.0.
If you go with legacy:
After you picked your flavour, go to nexus and read the description of QMOD, SMLHelper, dependencies and so forth.
Do the same with all the mods, verify that it´s for the correct version.
One wrong version mod can ruin your day.
If you go iwth 2,0:
Same as above, but also check and RTFM of Subnautica Bepinex.
The manufacturers (devs/publishers, etc) of any game are never responsible for modded content and will not support you in any way.
The moment you mention mods or even file edits they will all turn you down.
Manufacturer support is only available for a unmodified product.
