Seamoth at bottom of ocean? How to get back?
I never have even close to enough oxygen to get back (I have 105 capacity), and the seamoth is down near the weird abandoned bunker by the huge mushrooms with eels. What do I do?

Yup, gonna have to build a powered base, build a modification station inside that base, upgrade your tank for high capacity to get more air, or just craft like 3 extra tanks for the sole purpose of getting back down to your seamoth. It won't go anywhere, rest assured.

Yup, there have been times where it didn't, so no need to be surprised. (On another forum a much older player was surprised when I pointed it out to them).

Your seaglide will not be slowed by the extra weight, but you will swim slower personally with too many additional tanks. One equipped, and one spare in your inventory High Capacity tanks still lets you swim surprisingly fast with Ultra Fins.

But once you put two spare tanks into your inventory, your swimming slow down is very noticable.

There are Plasteel tanks, but those only weigh LESS, and just have 30 seconds unlike a high capacity's +60. So I have personally found it more practicall to just use less High Cap tanks when I want to swim faster, than bother with plasteel where I'm using that swim speed for more return trips for air.

If you value speed more than air time/inventory space, plasteel is a nice option though.

Again though, Your seaglide will move full speed regardless.

EDIT: Oh, right. Seamoth's have maximum depths before they take damage. default 200m First upgrade is to 300m. (max is 900m)

If your sunk seamoth is below that depth but somehow still intact, don't get in it until you can install a depth upgrade.

Though you need a Moon Pool room (blueprint needed to be scanned) to build the seamoth mod station (also a scanned blueprint), to be allowed to craft seamoth upgrades.

You could also use the console. If you don't feel it's cheating to get it back...I mean I use it every once in a while to help me do something like get unstuck. I'm enjoying exploring so I don't use it to ruin my experience, yet. After I beat the game once then I'll mess around and build a super base.

if youre bored make a path of external grow plots all the way there and plant the coral that releases air bubbles - then youll have recharge points

For that much Titanium and time, might as well build a series of air pipes down.

You could also just build another Seamoth. My first one got eaten by a leviathan, and I swam all the way home thinking "wow, that sucks", but when I actually looked back at the recipe, it wasn't really that bad. Had another one together in like five minutes.

Mine got eaten by a Leviathan too. Long story short, I was on a return trip from the Arora being chased by a reaper. It had snatched me twice and I knew I would not survive a third attack. Out of nowhere, it grabbed me. I abandoned it, swimming away. Out of the fog my base appeared, and I swam to safety. It was on the cliff facing the Arora, so the Reaper would chase me. I raced to the windows and l looked out. My sea moth was gone, the indicator icon too. That' the last time I go to the Arora without a cyclops.
