vehicle idea, cyclops too big.
i find that the cyclops is too big for deep sea diving/exploring, i find it very clumpsy with low visability and the seamoth does not really look like a deep sea vehicle.

my idea is for a submarine that is inbetween the seamoth and the cyclops,

Looks tougher and bigger then seamoth but slower movement, and smaller then cyclops.
Goes deeper then seamoth but less then / on par with cyclops.
Visability more or on par then seamoth.
Good lights and grab arm / scan arm (optional cutter / welder).
More storage then seamoth, less then cyclops, grabbed stuff automaticly put in, taking stuff out requires lower depth or at base / cyclops

An more realistic-ish deep sea submarine for exploring / deep sea base building

what do you guys think?

I think the seamoth should be able to go deeper to reach the inactive lava zone because the exo suit needs a cyclops to go down that deep and a seamoth is more agile

that could perhaps be a module upgrade for the submarine, to be able to carry the exosuit
and for the smaller spaces perhaps a module to put camera robots (from research lab) on the sub as well

The cyclops isn't really meant for deep diving, thats why it can dock the seamoth. The cyclops is there to be your mobile base, so we can carry or transport as much stuff as we need to wherever we want. It's also there to keep us safe from those nasty reapers. Although, i would like some kind of drone that can pick up and carry objects around, something that can fit in small caves, so the player doesn't have to risk getting blown up by crashes or eaten by bonesharks.

A ROV (Remote-Operated-Vehicle). Yeah, I'm hoping for these too. You could even buy and deploy them in a very arcade-ish game called 'Trasures of the Deep' (released almost 20 years ago). It could even be upgraded with a grappling arm to collect items (though items were merely ammo- and health-pickups and per level, one piece of a treasure-map).

Oh man. I was telling people this game gives me Treasures of the Deep vibes. I think you and me might be two of the only people who have ever played that game. Seriously was my favorite PS1 game.

I miss netting dolphins. Maybe this game will let us do that to Stalkers.

The Montezuma level always made me nervous, too. Cave diving is freaky.

ROVs would definitely be a plus.
