I looked it up on the wiki it says build vertically but it's not working! I want to make a larger room to make an Aquarium

Build your first multi-purpose room and then set another one directly on top of it until it turns green, then build.
Maybe you don't have it at the right position? It has to be pretty close.

I built it right on top of the bottom room but then when I go inside of the bottom one I have to build a ladder to get the to second one.i also want to know how to make them wider? Are there any tutorials online I am on a Xbox one but it's the same

Yup, that's how they work right now - to make a taller Large Aquarium, make a Large Aquarium in each one, and they'll link up on their own.

And unless I've really missed something, you can't make them wider - maybe later (?), but not right now.

I still can't make them taller! Do I take a multipurpose room and stack it on top and when I did that I had to make a ladder to get to the top one ! So do I put an aquarium inside of the bottom one Abdul will link the room stacked on top together?

If you stack MP rooms then yes, you will have to build a ladder to go up and down inside of them. If you want a tall aquarium then you also must stack the aquariums inside of your stacked MP rooms.

If I understand what you mean... You can't make the actual room "taller", the room stays the same height and width. Stacking two rooms only causes you to have a second floor to that room that is accessed via ladder.

I will say though I would like an even bigger room, like 4x the size and 2x the height of the MP room xD... And preferably one where I can install an enameled glass roof and floor that shows the outside if I want... Ooooooh or maybe a larger moonpool for the Cyclops xD

Mega, first stack your multipurpose rooms, then build a hatch into one of them. Stand just inside the hatch and build an aquarium (it's a tight fit). Now build a ladder in one of the 4 slots that are against a wall, not in the center of the room. Go up it, build another aquarium and it'll auto-link to the one below it, rinse and repeat as many times/as high as you like.

nah, the OP wants to make the rooms wider than they are. not taller. so far as i know, that's not possible.

You do also realize that you don't need to place ladders right in the middle of the room, yeah? You can build them on one of the edge slots.

Wait, stacked aquariums link up?

That's good to know... my bunnyrays were starting to crowd their tank.

Would be great to see wider rooms in a future update. As of right now, it's hard to navigate with things like aquariums and plant beds occupying 90% of floor space.

A greenhouse room would be fantastic as well.

So I tried the stacked aquariums and they work and now my MP is taller thank you guys. Right now I'm just in creative mode figuring this stuff out. I have stumbled across an irritating and annoying problem when using the builder. When I start to fill in the thing and it comes to let's say 90% or 98% the game lags or freeze for a sec and then just goes to 100% it just freezes at 90% and 98% it's really annoying and in my moon pools hills spawn in them....

Ok well, if you build a double aquarium, it's going to allow double the population of rays/whatever.

If you're getting crowding in an aquarium it might just be that it's "forgotten" to stop the creatures spawning - it does that occasionally. You would need to collect a few from your tank, deconstruct the tank (the rest in there will disappear), then reconstruct it again and put some rays back in. Then, the chances are, it will function normally.

@MegaEliteshadow: Well, the "freezing at 90/98%" issue just sounds cosmetic, it doesn't affect your ability to create the things, right? If so, I think you should just accept that for now - maybe make an F8 bug report so they have a record of it, though?

So basically I'll come back to my moon pool and a hill is spawned inside of it like in the pool and it floods everything and it won't go away.
