It could be an egg, but as it is, doubtful. You are in the Lost River Tree Cove, which is still under development like the rest of the LR biomes.

that egg scares me for furture updates because you know those bones in that area yeah idk if that will be a baby thing of that creature thats just a pile of bones right now
