^ for now its a bad idea. FPS drops like crazy, didn't even bother to fix it and start a new game.
(I get what you mean though! I, too, strongly oppose cetacean captivity, and do feel bad about how small the Alien Containment units are.......)
Sarcasm rarely plays well in text.
I typically install 3 x 2-story tanks: 1 for a fish farm, 1 for a fish collection (1 of every type of hand-catchable fish, and there are more than 10, so needs two storeys), and 1 for large fauna. I do tend to nodice a small amount of lag in this kind of base, but only barely noticeable.
I had thought of building a bigger base with tanks for each biome. Now I'm glad I didn't start. Farming all the titanium and glass would have been soooooo tedious though.
