Similar games, with co-op?
So, I love this game. It's amazing, but I'm new to the whole...survival genre of gaming. Is there anything out there like this with a PvE focus that's co-op? I don't want to do games like Rust or ARK that are equally PvP and PvE. My friends and I just aren't super competitive at all.

Any sugestions?

There are PVE servers so no PVP can happen in ARK.

This isn;t a hardcore survival game anyway. It's exploration and adventure with a survival element mixed in. And there really is no other game like it to comapre t to. There are other underwater games, but IMHO, this game is unique.

But if you want co-op and MP, the game comapny has another really good game called Natural Selection 2 that may appeal more it you want to killify everything around you with friends.

Yeah, but the game itself is built with PvP in mine. Feels like limiting myself if we PvE it.

Also, again, the not super competitive thing. Natural Selection is all about competition isn't it?

I'd recommend Empyrion: Galactic Survival. The development has been substantial so far, it has multiplayer and it's PVE focus with exploration of multiple planets. It's not nearly as polished as Subnautica, but it's coming along nicely (nothing comes to mind for another underwater survival game though, subnatica is kind of unique in that regard).

I'd say Wurm Online. It's full on sandbox huge open world massively(?) multiplayer. You can terraform just about anything. Build stuff almost anywhere except next to someone else's land. Survival takes a lot of work and effort. Actually, everything does. You gotta train skills and such like digging, carpentry, smithing, combat, cooking, etc. Pretty grindy with maintenance, upkeep, and feeding your animals.
You can play it free, but it cost money to actually get far. I know steam just got the P2P Wurm Unlimited version, but I never played that one.

I would recommend The Forest...
