Sadly it´s Oculus Exclusiv, and for NOW, maybe because the Rift do not have the Motion Controllers, its restricted to the XBOX360 PAD.
I really hope, the Devs get to the Point to implement Motion Controllers when they are out for the Rift, and they do it like, Pull both Triggers and do swimming moves, or in the Vehicles like pushing Both Triggers for forward driving, and only one Trigger for left/right and maybe some Button on the Left/Right Controller for up and down or so ...that would awesome!
Anyway, to play with the Xbox360 Pad doesnt feel bad at all, its really OK.
But i also wish they make it Natively, because i dont want to be dependent from Oculus, because i fear the next steps they might do with there Oculus Store/Api, like with the Exklusiv Games and their tempts to lock them for Rift Users only (whats in my Opinion maybe OK, because they payed for the Exklusiv deals/ payed for the work to bring Games to VR, but humanly mhhh... i just wished both HTC/VIVE and FB/Oculus would both payed in a Fond to pay Developers to make Games with VR Support for both Peripherals.
But for now i fear it could happen for NON Exclusiv Games like for Exclusives, like the Api wouldnt work anymore on the VIVE or such things...im not a programmer, so i dont know what they could/would do and what peopel like LibreVR could do to counteract.
So yeahh, please Devs supprt the VIVE as soon as possible.
Offtopic:
Hopefully EVGA release there Custom 1080 FTW here in Germany soon. I'm dying here with my GTX 670 and just took a quick look at this Game with Max Settings..like i sayed its really beautyfull, but with less than 40 FPS nearly unplayable or better not enjoyable...
I called EVGA today and they told me "maybe in one or two WEEKS" ONE OR F***** TWO WEEKS. I have my VIVE since April and was so freakin happy to hear that the Custom 1080s coming June....FUUUUUUUUU
EDIT:
I just wrote this and after that i read this:
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/06/24/oculus-rift-vive-no-headset-check/
I have the GTX 1070 MSI Gaming X and it plays Subnautica in full graphic settings at 75 FPS with the HTC Vive. Sometimes it can stutter though, but this game isn't devised for Vive and the loading/popping of each biome is where the engine isn't optimised still.
