Are there no actual graphical options?

Just got the game on the steam sale and in game the only graphics options I can seem to find are a very simple "minimum/recommend/high" overall graphical setting.

Is there no actual advanced options? Being able to set shadow detail, AA types, texture detail, etc?

The game runs really freaking choppy for me, even on recommended (on a 780oc).

I'd really like to be able to tweak some graphics settings that I don't care to lose (like some aa/shadow distances and such) that generally give you a big boost in fps for not a huge cost in visual quality, but that seems impossible.

The only thing I could find by googling was hitting f3 to turn off some simple things like bloom and such.

Yeah. That is the only graphics options.

The FPS for me is horrible for me, because I only have an Intel 4400, not a 4600.
The FPS I get is around 11 to 12, and I can handle that. I play like that quite a bit because I am quite extreme when playing games such as Minecraft, setting the render distance to max (yeah!) and setting off lots of explosives, and then my computer actually freezing.

In game, press F3, there are graphics options you can change. Press F1, more graphics options you can change.

Advanced setting are there, just not highly publicized.
