You need to find a scannable bed. There is a large and comfortable-looking bed inside the Degasi base in the Jelly Shroom Caves; just don't forget your propulsion cannon :-)

There is also one in the Deep Grand Reef modular wreck11 at coords -899 -406 -1424 (or you can use "goto wreck11")

scannable shelfs should be in one of the grand reef wrecks. I found shelves and pots and beds in the Mountain wreck but could not scan any of them.
