Found an island with a big "alien" structure

Just wondering if it's related to the story / stuff to get there / achievements to unlock. There's Lithium and Bulbo tree food. Went inside and found a pillar with a green "prism", but I couldn't scan it. Or anything. It was past Lifepod 17 a bit to the right.

No idea how to get coordinates. Or how to craft a compass. Just got the game and played it 2 hours... :) But you swim from the start pod to Lifepod 17, if you continue swimming you see something straight ahead on the horizon. Swim 1 km more and there is an island.

It's probably the Mountain Island and the Precursor Gun. Check the Wiki.

its the precursor Gun location you can swim in there are 2 openings to enter. it got lately new textures that glow very neat done. im sure soon there will be more . Well something must have shot you down right...

indeed they patch like wordmasters almost daily you can find some new stuff appearing.

If you go south, then turn SW at the engines and swim for a good while there's a big island with two peaks with eh... insect-like buildings on the peaks. Then I know this island and the tall mountain one with magnetite and many blueprints which has a teleporting purple um dragon of some kind. Yes, experimental branch, I thought the stable didn't have it. I have a compass now, it isn't super far so if I go there I'll get them. Right now I need to get blood oil without having to go 300m to the trenches cos I'll drown... :)

BTW south pretty near by the volcano in Lifepod 6 I found a radiation suit, helmet, gloves. But I lost them.

thats the main island, there is also another one with a lot of nice crysta;s on it

Yes I have found this island too. I followed the "heat signature" beacon and when I was about 250 meters away I came up for air and there was an island to my right. You can't see if from the lifepod because it is behind the crashed ship. Swim around until you find a beach. You can walk all over the island. You can eat the bulbo plant for food and water. I have not found other resources on the island yet and I don't see a way to get up the mountains where the structures are.
