kyanite bug?

just found my first outcrop of kyanite and was all excited to get the advanced jump jets (i made my thermal upgrade before they added kyanite to the recipe). but as i driled away at the deposit, it chipped away as normal, but nothing spawned from it. i kept going thinking that maybe they designed this one to only give you a pice at the end or something, but it was drilled away to nothing with no resources dropped? has this happened to anyone else?

ok, so ive now gotten it to spawn a few times, but unlike all the other outcrops i have drilled, this one seems to only have an aprox 1 in 5 change of spawning a useable kyanite christal. annoying. is this intentional? is the crystal so fragile that drilling it often shatters it beyond use? but if this is the case then what about quartz? or is it just a bug?

No. This is not a bug.
"When you drill it, you sometimes get 1-3 crystals that drop from it (not 100% like the other drillables, but 35%)."

ah, ok, good to know. luckily it was easy to collect as much as i needed (which is not very much as it is only used in two recipes). thanks for the info!

Hey guys, i made a base both at the lava castle and deeper down next to the lava sea, and i'm wondering if kyanite has been confirmed to spawn in the large chamber where the lava castle is? i searched through the whole chamber and found plenty of diamond/sulphur, etc. i even found some silver deposits. am i in the wrong place? does kyanite spawn in the caves leading down to the lava castle, or around the castle itself? do i have to wait 5 ingame days for it to start spawning? HALP

i found a bunch of it it the big tunnels leading to the castle from the grand reef/lost river biomes (in the inactive/lightactive lava zones). i dont remember seeing much in the castle zone or below it (although i think there was a little in my game...). maybe its randomized for each game?

thanks Krome, I believe you are correct. I saw a youtube video (cant recall who made it) and they found kyanite on the walls of the caves leading down to bowser's castle, not in the central chamber. the wiki, however, says that kyanite can seldom be found in the active lava zone, but i have yet to find in that area so maybe it is unimplemented. thanks again for your advice!
