its now near the prawn bay, once you are in there go underwater and look for a lit flashlight, and follow it into another part of the aurora.

when you say "in there" do you mean behind the door we have to cut open ?

found it, its in the PRAWN room in the water right side when looking away from the burning suits. turn left behind the flashlight, its basicly a second entrance to the area one can only access with the propulsion gun.

Hey, sorry for the ressurrection but I was searching info about it and find this thread. I am bit confused: is just an access or a data downoad? I didn't found any data near the flashlight. The access is, in fact, from where I accessed first time, but no PDA in there or I can't see it.
In some of the lifepods I didn't found the PDA's but info was updated on mine anyway, so I don't know if I am bit buggy or really there is not a blackbox (or it was updated to my PDA like in the lifepods). Thanks in advance and sorry as well for my horrible english!

There is no black box in the final release version of the game. The black box data is downloaded from a data terminal in the Laboratory section of the ship. Details here:

Got it. I was also following that wikia, found it later too. Might be useful for somebody else though. Anyway it seems some PDA's are buggy for me 'cause appear directly to mine as already readed without grabing up them, lucky is not happening (very) often. That's weird... Well, thanks so much anyway!

Found the terminal, but unable to download data. Nothing happens when I try to click on terminal. Anyone else have same issue? What to do?

you need to access the lower decks of the ship, its in the entrance that is really close to the water, its located behind the door that you have to cut open (next to the lab), the terminal is towards the back of that room and is really the only thing in that room. once the data is downloaded it will be stored in the pdas data section. the black box is not an audio recording, its transcribed.

if you cannot use the terminal that is down there you may need to purge your cellcache folder contents in that save to refresh the space, however please make sure to read the section about how to do this and what exactly will happen, as it will reset the entire world.

also make sure that you are using the correct terminal in the aurora, there are several of them. the terminal located in the lab contains the blueprints for the repulsion cannon. there are only 2 areas in the aurora lower section that are accessible, the lab behind the security coded door. and the blackbox located behind the sealed door, that has to be cut open.

I think it's been updated. In the message on the radio (from Altera HQ with the sandwich guy) they say it's in "The Captain's Quarters" and that the code is 2769. It may be random for different games / players / saves. I don't really know much about the game tho. Hope this helps.
