does the prawn suit jump jet upgrade really stack?
according to wiki it does, but i cannot see a big difference with two of them to having only one jet pack equipped. i opened this new thread after commenting on the old one with this subject because maybe it was changed in the meantime.

It's either on or off, no matter how many copies you equip.
And the code that checks this is either using one smaller value for when the Jet Upgrade is missing or another higher value for when it's equipped.

Non-grounded acceleration goes from 0.22 to 0.30 when upgraded.
Jump force goes from 5 to 7 when upgraded.
Underwater thrust power goes from 6.5 to 8.5 when upgraded.

So in summary, there is no purpose to having more than one Jet Upgrade equipped.

Not sure if it does, you'd have a better idea then me. But with that and the grapple arm you shouldn't really need much more for most of the time you're out and about.

Two grapples and the upgrade and you're basically underwater spiderman.

Better question, isn't there something better you could use using in the upgrade slot?

The first jet upgrade makes a huge difference.
But then you have a mandatory depth module.
And well, your upgrade options are limited.

Unless you use mods to make your Prawn Suit even more nimble, at which point, whatever.

If you wanted infinite mobility with zero capabilities anywhere else you'd go for the seamoth

True. But this ways much more fun.

Done right you can use a grapple to slingshot yourself off of ledges and sail though the water only using little bursts of the jets to slow the dessent while the grapple is used to help gain more speed.

By "you", I did not mean "you" personally. It was more a general term meant to imply that this was something that I was saying to anyone that might read it.

Also because I'm lazy and all the other options I could have put there would have meant typing more than three letters.

And i wasnt thinking that either, by saying I, I did mean everyone in general.

You and I have very different understandings of how english grammar works.

So, to help reduce any further confusion on your part next time I (the person typing this) will endever to make any comment like that as two distinctly separate comment instead of trying to save time and include both parts as a single comment to help avoid any more of the english idiosyncrasies that you (the person with the name "Kleiner's final Form") miss took, for reasons that are not hard to understand, in that first comment of mine that started this whole mess.

Ok?

Well. That's a shame. Useful to know, but still a shame.

cool, thank you very much. thats actually confirming my tests where i couldn't see any difference between one or two jets equipped. but in wiki it says they stack.
Dynamiez Jan 12, 2019 @ 1:50am
I think the wiki is outdated. At one point i think these upgrades were stackable but now they do not any more. So the wiki was right some day ago but should be updated.

Which of course someone with a heightened understanding of english grammar has seen, and is now one-upping my feeble mind.

Err.... So, we're not ok? I'm ok with that.

I do get a bit long winded whenever I haven't eaten in over 18 hours. Sorry about that, my bad.
