Oh, yes. Your original question.
Home breeding fauna does not change their behavior toward other fauna.
Kippen, you are the crabsquid expert. You got anything else?
Why don't you release him close to the ILZ entrance, on the back of the cove? If it stays there, maybe it shouldn't create other problems.
(Just kidding. One of my best game friends is an insane, masochistic, baby squid collector. You people CAN still have functional role in society, with proper care.
No what you said is right. You really don't want to release them around your base because of the EMP blasts.
Also like you said, they will turn into full-sized, and fully hostile adults when you release them into the wild. They will attack the player on sight.
But they are not completely useless. They are great at chasing of Ampeels, and because they have very little HP you can easily kill them if you want to get rid of them.
Also, they're so CUTE!

Then I s'pose run down the Crabsquids with your Cyclops (I know that one works just fine.)
I guess I need to find and stash some Crabsquid eggs as part of my bio-control department.
Oh, you forgot to mention that they don't like Warpers. The two will keep each other busy when they are in the same small area.
