A console command to fly?
Trying to build some solar panels above water and thought about a fly command.
Not freecam. An actual "noclip" per say.

A noclip command would make you fall thru the ground, not fly, but yes. A "fly" command would be useful. My best idea for something like this would be "infinitewater" where the air is also water, and your submarines can "fly". Are you going to make this into a mod?

I don't know of a fly command, but to build my solar panels above water on top of a corridor that was half out of the water (couldn't climb onto it), I extended the corridor with another one, made a hatch on the end, entered, made a hatch in the ceiling, and exited to stand on top.

What are you a bird? but really why not just try and place it when you're on top of the water?

I don't know what the OP's situation is, but when I built a corridor that was half out of the water (on vertical tubes from below), I couldn't reach all the way to the top of it while treading water next to it. The solar panel outlines were red until I actually climbed onto it via an adjacent corridor as I described.

Want to fly? Get a propulsion cannon and use it on Aurora crates or fish schools while jumping. You can get some serious altitude in the process. Here is an old image I took months ago before the northern island was altered as it is now.

Well thanks for those 2 guys, but I meant without momentum. Controllable flight. It's alright though, managed to build what I needed.

Well, considering there isn't much to see from the air, what's the need for controlled flight? If there was a lot of visually interesting elements to flight, then I'd definitely agree. Infinite Exosuit Thrust cheat would be better.
Yes. But then, the exosuit should have a builder arm...

Now see here! This is a bad necro! I'm all for people adding to an existing topic if they have questions. But this was super unnecessary.

Necro or not, Energetic is right.

It seems kinda wierd to request a console command that lets you do something you would never be able to do without the console when you shouldn't really be using it, anyway, doesn't it? What if, somewhere down the road, the console is removed after you've developed a dependency on it? Seems like a waste to me, IMO.
