Do Leviathan creatures respawn?

I've tried googling it but I can't find a solid answer as there is multiple.

Do leviathan classed creatures respawn after being killed? For example, there are 3 Sea Dragons in total, so if you kill all 3, will they be gone for good?

No, they don't respawn.
(Never killed a sea dragon, so they might behave differently; but I doubt it.)

So you can kill both Ghost Leviathan's in the Grand Reef to render it completely safe from those creatures for the rest of your save?

Well, I imagine they'd be EXTREMELY hard to kill. Gas Torpedoes are effective against reapers from my experience, but that's about as big as the fish get for effectiveness of those, and vortex torpedoes just fling fish, they don't do damage.

Yes. I killed the ghost in the lost River and it never respawned for the balance of the game.

Yes, all creatures never respawn except for the 'offmap' adult ghost leviathans.

I don't think they do. Slew a Sea Dragon in my first complete playthrough. The next time I reloaded I don't think its corpse was there, but I didn't have a new dragon to replace it.

I routinely kill a Ghost Leviathan in the Lost River so I can build there. So, yes.

This is a question you may not know the answer to, but does their health regenerate over time if you don't finish the job the first time you fight them? As I did severely wound the sea dragon but I did not kill it as it ran off.

I don't really think they are meant to be killed by legit means. I only killed one using 4 growbeds of tiger plants and those things do some serious dps and still took 20 minutes

I don't think they do, at least not unless you resume a saved game. I don't know if creatures health is preserved when saving.

Better to finish the job, once you started it. ;)

Stasis rifle and knife.

Takes some time, especially for Ghost Leviathans. But since you can keep them stunned for as long as you like, you can take your time. Just make sure you can top up on oxygen in between.

I've killed over 15 Reapers and none of them have come back.
