Where can I find nickel ore?

Can someone tell where to go to find nickel ore?(North, West, East... from the lifepod)

The only place I have found Nickel is inside the Lost River and it's only in large deposits, so you'll need the prawn suit with the drill arm to go down there and mine it. As far as the direction, I'm not sure. There are several entrances to the Lost River, the one I used was inside one of the Blood Kelp zones. You'll know you've found it because of the green mist waterfalls and stuff that abound there, looks like you've entered some kind of afterlife, traveling the river Styx. Anyway, the Nickel deposit looks similar to the Silver deposit, but Nickel is much more bland/plain-looking and kind of just a lump, whereas silver deposits look sorta shiny and angled.

Not true! Do dont need a the Prawn. You can gather the nickel ore with hands. Best position is Lost River at the Ghost Tree. Open your eyes or build a scannerroom.
Build a Base at the Ghost Tree its the last save position to the lava zone. So you can get nickel + reload your cyclops.

plenty of small nickel around. hell i usually find 8-10 pieces between the degasi 500 and the off site lab were you use the orange tablet lol

Nickel is plentiful in the Lost River. You dont need a drill arm to get some. Look along the cave walls all the way up and all the way down. In about 20 minutes I've found close to 30. There's some in the cave with the ghost tree as well, but not as much.

As others have said, lost river, and you dont need the Drill arm. There are tons dotted around below the green "mist rivers" in the biome.
