Will Subnautica: Below Zero be an Epic Game Store exclusive?

Just curious. I mean, I could understand it, they'd loose almost 20% per copy on Steam in comparison to Epic Game Store. Furthermore, the times when Steam guaranteed lots of sales were over when they decided to get rid of Greenlight and open the gates for tons and tons of software garbage to flood the store. I also think that Subnautica reached a popularity that it doesn't really need Steam anymore.

Although lazy me would prefer to stick with Steam, I'd still accept 'yet another' launcher for the upcoming expansion. Not sure how many people would do the same though.

I therefore wonder, would the almost 20% extra money per copy be worth it for the developers to leave Steam? On the other hand, they could also do an Epic Store exclusive release first and just delay a Steam release for maybe a year or so.

Is something like Early Access present in the Epic store? Subnautica Below Zero was meant to be released to public unfinished.

Anyway, if it's an "exclusive", I won't be buying it, just like I don't buy any games requiring uPlay or Origin.

I think there's already a title called Hades in Early Access on the Epic Games Store, so I assume it's possible.

Rather them release it on both then be an exclusive. Also as from what Ive been hereing most exlcusives now are a 12 month deal

No it's a steam game too for it was being developed for before the store was announced

Yup i didn't buy Satisfactory because they removed it from steam and went exclusive, i'm with orb I do not buy games from them. When Kali was dying and steam took its first steps I was there and here I will stay.
