Trying to use a Controller in Subnautica
So, I recently, well not recently, whatever. I got an Xbox Wireless Controller to use in some of my games, but then in Subnautica, the controller support never showed up in-game! When I did a bit of research, I found out that VR mode had controller support. So I switched modes to VR, but that didn't work, either. Help Please!

You need to enable your controller in the Options / Controller menu. It's not activated by default. You have to turn it on. Put a check mark in the box then set your controller type in the box below that.

The way that the game handles controllers could definitely be improved. I'm playing ME:SoW right now and it just automatically switches back and forth between kbd and controller when you press something on either device.

Subnautica only likes you using one or the other. As soon as you touch the mouse to look around your throttle is cut if you map an axis as a throttle. Having an analog throttle is nice, but not at the expense of the mouse.
