You will still take damage in the active lava zone, if I remember right.
Yep you still get damaged by temperature in active lava zone even with the Reinforced suit but i noticed its like 1 hp per tick (barely actually cause some ticks don't do dmg at all - Riley grunts, screen has the "heat" effect but no damage is taken)
Do you mean a random wreck of the Aurora?
Despite reducing damage taken by half, the Reinforced Dive Suit has no impact on the thresholds that trigger special attacks which instantly kill the player. As such, the suit affords no protection from the Reaper Leviathan's special attack when the player's health goes below 81, and it affords no protection from the Sea Dragon Leviathan's special attack whatsoever, despite the damage from their other attacks being reduced by 50%.
The suit's protection from heat up to 70°C (158°F) is still not enough to fully protect the player when getting close to lava in the Inactive Lava Zone and Lava Lakes, where the temperatures may exceed 90°C (194°F).
The complete outfit consists of a suit and a pair of gloves that when worn individually grant only a portion of the protections.

Try exploring the pods/wrecks that I think of as the "middle wrecks", beyond the 3 central massif biomes, but not at the edges of the map or surrounded by leviathans.
Well wiki says it doesn't.
It just lowers the bite damage not the hp threshold which triggers the kill anim - that one stays the same.
But i guess this can be easily tested ;)
It gives you heat resistance to 70 degrees C, so while Riley will still make 'ouch' noises now and then, unless you go hang out right above a lava vent, you'll then be all set down there.
Ye the wiki article states that hp threshold for Leviathan kill is 80 and Reinforced suit doesn't change that at all. It's still triggered at 80 hp.
Only the direct damage is halved not the threshold at which kill anim can happen.
I think i will test this out later.
