Bone Sharks and Bio-Reactor
I was reading somewhere that someone had setup an Alien Containment Device (I haven't found these blueprints yet, I'm still new to this game). And somehow got Bone Sharks into it it.. I'm guessing Boneshark eggs maybe? And probably double high Alien Containment.

Anyway he said he did that to feed the Bonesharks into his Bio-Reactor for base energy. I do have a Bio-reactor but I don't understand how you could put bonesharks into it? In the interface It allows me to move items from my pda inventory into the Bio-Reactor.. Like Peepers and vegetation stuff.. how would he be doing this?

You can pickup fish you breed in Alien Containment, including predators like the Boneshark.

wow I didn't know that.. I thought perhaps they would just be too big to fit into inventory, like 8x8 slots or something crazy.

Just be careful putting Bonesharks and other living animals in the Bio-Reactor. PETA is notified immediately and are sent to your home. :P

Compared to what PETA does to animals it would be preferable to just put them into the bioreactor lol. Seems like a quick death.

On topic, any fish you raise in alien containment is passive so don’t worry about going in to grab the sharks if you are going to use them for energy. I’ve never done it myself but I’ve heard that they stay passive if you release them outside as well.

they stay passive for a short duration after being released into the wild but dont count on that to stick. it will change in less than one day cycle

Good to know. I had heard that then I had other peeps tell me they stayed passive. Due to the conflicting reports I’ve never tried it myself. But more often than not people tell me they turn on you so ya something I probably won’t ever do. At least not right outside my base.

do not release aggressive faune outside near your base. unless they are crabsnakes they will hang around and cause nothing but headaches

I use live fish to power my Bioreactor. I just kick all their a***s when PETA shows up.

I usually just use marblemellon grown in the reactor room. Seems a lot less bothersome than fish and it works well.

Yup, a few planters of marblemelon and you're set. Unless they change it right before release so that plants don't provide much energy to force us to use dung and other wildlife.
