(One of them ended up going on a montage of killing like six reapers on the channel so, some took it better then others)
YouTubers and streamers were no different, a good amount of them were fooled cause the chat tricked them into going right into underwater death valley.
As for your question, Markiplier had an 80 some episode long series on Subnautica alone, so you could binge that one for a while
While watching someone else play though a game is probably one of the most tedious things I can think of doing, if you do want to watch others doing that I highly recommend Neebs Gaming.
It's far less watching someone else play a game and more like a comedy series set in the subnautica world. If you played the game there's a good chance you will recognise their voices ("Hey Becky's on a sandwich run, you in?").
Thx, yeah, I know there's a mod, but I've read its still not complete, haven't checked any official news recently, I usually wait months to years before I check on it, the guys creating it are either not really focused on it, or having issues.
I think I saw a video earlier this year, it looked great, didn't see any issues, looked like the latest build, but yeah, I plan on check on that next year to play with a friend, can't wait to play the first Subnautica, but today I feel like some more watching.
Yeah, some people still haven't got into watching others play games. It's relaxing, I work while doing it, definitely depends on the person though.
Edit: I know how ppl feel about mp, I was here a long time ago when the game came out and people made threads asking about it every other day, they had to create a sticky thread, and I'm probably in the long thread. I never wanted mp though, like many, we just want to play coop with a friend.
What's funny to me, is how vehemently people hated any discussion about mp... to a lesser degree coop(as they were often mixed up by those who didn't want mp) the pubg company owns uw.... so... this is a company that will want to push a mp subnautica idea... and money talks... that would be insane... all these years, many simply wanted coop, and coop players got their heads chewed off b/c any anti mp fans confused it with coop, but how will you guys act when they make a "cash shop, kill on site, fish taming, goofy mp version???" Idk, havent been following it that closely, maybe that wont happen, hopefully coop will though... of course all after how ever many different games they make, or if they even make another. O.o
Anyway, back to Below Zero, the only one I've played lol, loving it.
It was pretty fun to watch
Huh?
Edit: The only coop for subnautica is a mod that's not yet complete the last time I checked.... other than that, I've never said it had coop, in fact, in that sentence you quoted, I implied the opposite.
Lol, we'll see in maybe two years, possibly three, I haven't seen anything about uw's new game.
Translation: "We expect to be able to start hyping it next year. As usual, no one in the world has any idea when it will even enter Early Access."
So that means we'll probably have a chance at another subnautica 2025... possibly.
Introducing the new reaper, now because of half a decade of radiation mutating their offspring the reaper gained new features!!
-The reaper's muscles have grown drastically and DOUBLED which means DOUBLE DAMAGE
-The reaper grew a pair of eyes BEHIND it's head so it now has 360 degree vision!
-After being continuously shocked by the PDS so it built a natural resistance to it! WOW!!! Your repel systems are officially USELESS NOW! BIG WOW!
-Since most of the reaper population were killed by players they now breed like CRAZY, guaranteed to have at least 10+ reapers in EVERY biome!

Yeah thats possible, that we get another early access.. lol I was thinking along the lines of, they've made two games, they should be able to use this foundation and create 90 percent of another functioning game, that doesn't happen though. Maybe not a beta, but an early access.
It would completely take away the experience of being alone on an alien planet.
Having no one but yourself to rely on is what makes this game special. That's the entire premise of the game, being alone, in the the unknown. Playing with someone else would greatly diminish that feeling of suspense and tension, and the fact that if you screw up there's no one can help you.
I really don't understand why people think they need coop to enjoy a game.
Equally I don't understand why people watch other people play a game? Why not just play yourself, I have watched a couple of videos of people playing other games and found that there deliberately over dramatic, and usually stupid to the point you want to pull your hair out and yell at them. I don't find it funny or entertaining, so I don't watch.
I also don't understand the fixation on the reaper's, I have played through this game many times And found that there's only one ghost reaper that is a pain in the back side. The others you don't have to encounter, or you can hear and see them coming from a long ways away, I have never been killed by one. So many post by obvious children, saying how scared they are of the creatures, or the ocean, or the reaper's I find laughable. It's a video game, you're looking at a monitor in a room with the lights on probably. I don't find it frightening but I do enjoy the feeling of suspense and tension as you explore the game world.
2. players watch you tubers and streamers for several reasons.
- They wanna see how others progressed and not focus on how they progress
- Streamers and YouTubers do stupid ♥♥♥♥ either on accident and on purpose and it's funny to see them react to it
- A lot of people (including myself) use long sometimes uneventful playthroughs as background noise while playing other or the same game
- A handful of people don't watch for the game but rather for the commentator, i don't care what horror game Jack or Mark play I just want to watch two men scream at a video game for twenty minutes but there are other YouTubers who are quiet and only say things when they feel they need to.
- Potential players are uncertain if they'll get their money's worth so they'll watch a let's play or two to have a taste of what the game is before they buy it
3. Dude it's the same thing with horror movies, some people scream their lungs out and others just shrug at a jump scare.
And honey not being afraid of a video game doesn't mean you're tough ♥♥♥♥, most people here regularly kill reapers.
If you think you're too good for us then you can crawl back to your mom's basement cause we'll have plenty more room without you and your fat ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ego here
