[RESOLVED] Any way to remove my time capsule?

I have decided to watch a few videos after finishing the game and based on the comments I have realized I had made a big mistake.

I thought the time capsule was an RP flavour thing, not something that other people may see. I filled it with super OP stuff (all progression tools and all of them with an Ion Battery too) and I picked the most spoilerrific screenshot ever, the Emperor leviathan with the eggs.

I don't want to ruin the game for anyone, hence the question - is there a way to delete my time capsule from the space-time continuum?

Well, thanks for confirming my fears, I guess. This is really dumb, though - there is no indication that time capsules work the way they do, even the PDA entry is written as if it were just fluff.

there are some items that may cause the time capsule to not show up, ion battery being one, your time capsule will not be found due to the end-game items.

Nah, it just removes the items, still shows up.

THIS thats why sometimes capsules u get are empty, modded items dont transfer either and will be removed too

Hm, I have checked all the capsules submitted within the last day and mine doesn't appear to be there... Maybe because I actually have this game on Epic Store?

there are tens of thousands of them on there, my suggestion is to run a search on unique complex words you used in the capsule

I actually got to the last day of the queue with a bit of programming magic and I couldn't find it there. Only after your post have I noticed that there actually IS a search function, but it didn't turn up anything either. In both cases I was searching for the entirety of the (rather short) message I put in.

All time capsules get voted in or out. Its not automatically added. If yours was too spoilery it may have been vetoed.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. No new time capsules have been added in years, and the one you described would be voted down anyway. You won't be ruining the game for anyone.

If the capsules actually need to go through the approval process before being added, then I guess you're right - there's a backlog of nearly 4.8k pages of capsules up to this day and mine doesn't even seem to be there anyways. Thanks for explaining the system & the reassurance, people.

I've definitely found a time capsule with ion battery powered tools. It was a couple years ago though. Might have been taken out

They're still possible to find.

time capsules aren't "added" by the devs. they are selected from the available approved pool from the website, im quite positive the devs didnt want them being required to update them and that amount of data to push through an update every time. the game itself selects time capsules at the start of a new game. if your steam is in offline mode or your internet is not on. then you will not receive time capsules in your map. there is also a setting i believe to disable time capsules, so parents can still maintain the parental controls against the inappropriate in the gaming community.

time capsules require 10 upvotes in order to be approved for the game.
