There must be quite a few survival games, sort them according to the player's scores to find the ones people agree on being good.
You can even craft a rocket and go to another planet lol.
But yea would be cool.
Earth is a planet too you know.
No. That game fell flat on it's face. Once they got a publisher they rushed the back half of the game and turned it into a really terrible corridor shooter. That on top of never bringing the building elements or the story elements into something cohesive.
It's bad enough I changed my Early Access positive comments to a negative review. Really disappointing outcome from the game.
-space engineers
-green hell
-medieval engineers (yes I mentioned this game despite developer literally abandoning
-starmade
-stranded deep
I gotta go so I have to stop the list there but its long
Breathedge is... problematic. It has a very english frat boy sort of humor that isn't for everyone, but the first half is nice, and that part is more or less exactly what you sound like you're looking for - nothing else qutie fits the bill AND is good.
So the rest here are games that you might like but are not exactly what you're looking for in some way.
Satisfactory - while it's a factory builder with less survival aspects, it's a fantastic piece of world building.
Grounded - great survival game in a fantastic setting, but in your back yard, not space.
Planet Nomads - survival on a strange world, with focus on base/vehicles. And it's actually finished!
Volcanoids - less survival, great world, but steampunk.
Scrap Mechanic - survival and making vehicles is the focus. Cartoony. Yet real good. One of the games I keep returning to.
Ark - sci-fi survival with dinosaurs.
Barotrauma - survival horror with friends. Still not in space. The one I've tried least but would like to try.
Raft - exploration, survival, watery earth - focus on a raft. Coop play possible.
Far Cry Primal - it's not what you asked for, but it might be what you need. :)
Elite Dangerous, Mass Effect, the Outer Worlds - not enough survival aspects, but very, very good world building, and at least partially in space. So, there's that.
Empyrion-galactic survival is a game I only tried a little, and absolutely didn't like.
You can pick it up on sale pretty regularly.
