if I was to make subnautica 2 I would do one of the following
1. make a HUGE map, with part of it 'hand made' and the rest made procedural and anyone who thinks procedural generated maps can not be made intresting has not played 7 days to die or for that matter minecraft. I would also add a mega F ton of crafting and building options,
2. Or I would make it a space game (I know compketely different) why space game? well I gotta ask, what was your character doing before the space ship crashed?
me thinks given the character was in the 'space' ship (key word there 'space') when it crashed on the planet is all we need to know that the character in this game was in 'space' a few seconds before the game started.
just sayin.
