how rare is the spotted dockleaf?

i came across it today for the first time... i found it INSIDE 1 floating island

It only grows near/in caves above the water. That should give you an idea of how rare. I don't believe it has a practical use, though.

It's a cave plant so how often you come across it depends on how often you go into caves. If you want to find more of it the bulb biome is a good bet. So it's not that rare.

Not sue what Dreamrider means by above the water as it's an underwater plant, I'm guessing that was a mistype.
