theres your spoiler free answer
also dont be scared of leviathans you can usually outrun them with a seaglide just fine
Also to the person saying that adult ghost leviathans are only present in the void:
You're wrong.
thats the mountain island reaper leviathans are nowhere near the floating island and the only reaper you have to worry about is the one on the east side of the island "Unless it glitches in to the mountain cave that can happen sometimes"
there are 3 juvenile ghosts "In the lost river" 3 adults in the void and 3 in the surface biomes "One in the northern blood kelp and 2 in the grand reef" totaling 9 ghost leviathans 3 juveniles and 6 aduls
but seriously idk why people are like "theres leviathans near the floating island" really the closest one is about 350 meters away in both distance and depth thats really nowhere near there
My bad on the reaper leviathan. All this time I thought he was talking about the underwater islands. Which is right next to the mountains biome. Where reapers are very common.
However don't say there are no leviathans anywhere near the floating island.
The floating island floats above the Grand Reef that houses 2 ghost leviathans. One of them roams quite close to the surface. I was attacked by it when exploring around the floating island.
I think it traces back to this map:
https://subnautica.fandom.com/wiki/Crater_Map?file=MAP_biomes_borders_v2.jpg
It's a very good map overall, but several of the leviathan positions are wrong.
