Is there any Leviathans near the floating island?
I need to go to the floating island to get my multipurpose room, but i'm too scared, because there might be Leviathans near.

There aren't if you stay near the surface, but there are leviathans several hundred meters down in the biome below. However, they won't come to surface on their own.

They stand on the intersection with the blood kelp zone,.

There are two adult Ghost Leviathans in the Grand Reef, but they are far enough away from the island that they won't mess with you unless you or something else brings them closer.

all the ghost leviathans you see in the worldspace are juveniles. except for the ones in the void. that being said, a juvenile ghost is still dangerous.

The ones in the Lost River are juveniles; the two in the Grand Reef and one in the northern Blood Kelp forest are adults.

Some fan-made maps mistakenly show one of the Grand Reef ghost leviathans as being very close to the floating island, but it's incorrect. Its territory is farther southwest.

When you are at the floating islands you can usually hear the roars of reapers. That's because the floating islands are right next to the mountains biome. But if you stay at the floating islands you are mostly safe.

Also to the person saying that adult ghost leviathans are only present in the void:
You're wrong.

i still have my disagreements with you boys here, however i admit that i could be wrong. thats fair if i am... however i dont believe that adult ghost leviathans are viable in the crater, since their size and food requirements prevent them from remaining, why they move to the void after they reach end of adolescence

okay i stand corrected looks like the wiki outsmarts me here, will make note of this... however the floating island you will encounter NO levithans as long as you stay close to the surface.

Why would you spoiler yourself with that question? Enjoy the unknown, enjoy the game!

this is correct but again i would not classify them as "Near" the island cause in practice if your going to the floating island you will never "accidentally" find a ghosty boy

thats the mountain island reaper leviathans are nowhere near the floating island and the only reaper you have to worry about is the one on the east side of the island "Unless it glitches in to the mountain cave that can happen sometimes"

there are 3 juvenile ghosts "In the lost river" 3 adults in the void and 3 in the surface biomes "One in the northern blood kelp and 2 in the grand reef" totaling 9 ghost leviathans 3 juveniles and 6 aduls

but seriously idk why people are like "theres leviathans near the floating island" really the closest one is about 350 meters away in both distance and depth thats really nowhere near there

My bad on the reaper leviathan. All this time I thought he was talking about the underwater islands. Which is right next to the mountains biome. Where reapers are very common.

However don't say there are no leviathans anywhere near the floating island.
The floating island floats above the Grand Reef that houses 2 ghost leviathans. One of them roams quite close to the surface. I was attacked by it when exploring around the floating island.

I think it traces back to this map:

https://subnautica.fandom.com/wiki/Crater_Map?file=MAP_biomes_borders_v2.jpg

It's a very good map overall, but several of the leviathan positions are wrong.
