Stalker teeth falling through the world
So I've had a lot of trouble finding Stalker teeth to make Enameled Glass out of, and my farming methods (dropping the titanium and salvage in front of them) were not successful, after about half an hour to 45 minutes. Researching this I found out that there is a set limit of stalker teeth in the world, and so I made a scanner room to find any existing teeth, and found out that every single one of them had fallen through the world
Is there any way to fix this?

In your place I would feel justified to spawn them into my inventory by using the console command
item stalkertooth 10
(replace 10 with the number of teeth you want to spawn).

Would it kill my achievements?

Yes, until you restart the game. But I wouldn't cheat, considering this is normal and almost every other person has beaten the game with this bug. Just feed a stalker some metal or stalk them after they pick some up naturally. Even better if you raised it yourself, as they won't attack you.
while they wont attack you, they will still attack your vehicles and camera drones

The collision detection in this game hurts my soul.

I don't know how you came to this conclusion but this statement is wrong.

There are four type of metal salvage, one of them doesn't break teeth when chewed. It's a minor and known issue (the one with a L shaped form).

Thx for info.

Then it's a synchronisation error.

Easily fixed: activate dynamic objects only when the chunks are ready.

About 10 mins work.

Gonna guess that the op is playing on HDD and the developers all have SSD.

Yeah game was kinda designed for an SSD lol, very unlikely for the devs to fix. Doesn't really hurt the experience for me though, as I can just feed Stalker's scrap.

Trust me The game hard caps The number of stalker teeth that can be present in a specific area... I've seen everything 1st hand... This was done by the game developers because otherwise Stability issues would develop and this was the only way to fix it... What we need is a Button in settings that delete all stalker teeth present on the map that are not in a container... As it stands I have seen stalker teeth despawn after a certain period of time at which point more stalker teeth Will spawn...

There is definitely no hard cap, as you can see in the picture below:

This game does have an issue with falling objects clipping through the terrain, however. It doesn't just happen with stalker teeth. Metal salvage that they drop also clips. If you move certain objects with the propulsion gun, they can clip through the ground when they land (includes supply crates and bulbs).

I'm not really sure why this happens, and it's not due to the lack of an SSD or slow hardware as theorized above. This glitch still persists in the experimental build.

some of it is computer hardware. some of it is the unity engine. the speed at which the terrain loads and collision barriers are different. you hardware DOES affect this partially. the other part is the engine. now this zombie is really tired can we please let it go back to sleep. this thread has been sleeping for almost 9 months now.

Really even if Stalker Teeth fall through the terrain you can put a Metal Salvage in your hot bar and let a Stalker bite you almost every time it is guaranteed to drop a Stalker Tooth. Just bring some med kits and you should be fine.

You can farm nearly infinite stalker teeth with a couple of grav balls and a few pieces of metal. The grav balls will keep the stalkers and metal in the area, and the stalkers will keep dropping the metal and then dropping teeth when they pick it up again. That's how all the teeth were produced in the image in post #11.

I just drop like 4 or 5 salvage metal like 10 feet from where the stalkers drop there metal (each stalker has 1 dump site it seems) and constantly refill the pile I make by taking from the stalkers pile, the stalkers literally ignore me to keep piling the metal over and over and over till I have all the teeth I want, fast and easy especially if you can find two dump spots near each other, the game even makes a nice little sound to let you know one broke off so you never miss one, this way let's you avoid them falling through the world altogether since the ground is already loaded in when they spawn

It's better to trust an orange poster over a green poster any day considering the orange posters are moderators and actually work with the team unless I am mistaken on what an orange name means
