Most damaging tool for ghost levi?
Want to go through the lost river with my cyclops but the lost river is small and narror and it has a ghost leviathan that is hard to avoid because of the cramped area so its best to just kill it. (I know that down the ways is the sea dragon but both areas he is in are huge and you can easily avoid him by hugging the walls.

What does most damage per second?
The stasis+knife, the stasis+heated knife, stasis+drill, double drill, stasis+prawn fist, or double prawn fist?

Despite being big, you can easily sneak past just about anything in a cyclops if you're carefull.
Go slow to make less noise, keep you distance and if a yellow blip shows on your radar just go stealth until it goes away again.

Stealth > Killing all the things.

Heat knife does more damage than the knife and the stasis+any knife has the best rate of "it doesn't hurt you in turn".

It should also be mentioned that the big ones do respawn. Killing it is not a permanent solution.

Well, I've snuck past the ghost levi repeatedly and consistently by hugging the left wall of the Ghost Forest.

But if you MUST kill a leviathan, nothing beats double prawn fists. Lure them near the ground, stasis them in a small bubble, walk the Prawn into striking range, then use the BIG stasis bubble.

The reason I say this is because the Prawn suit ALSO gets frozen by stasis if it walks INTO the bubble from the OUTSIDE, but if it's already IN the bubble when you hit a levi with stasis, it moves as normal.

So in bullet point form - how to kill a leviathan with double PRAWN PUNCH.
1) Park Prawn nearby
2) Lure leviathan to sea floor
3) Stasis with quick shot (small bubble)
4) Walk Prawn into range, behind leviathan's head if possible
5) Use Big stasis charged shot so Prawn is inside stasis bubble
6) Get back in Prawn suit and double punch until stasis bubble starts to fade
7) Get out of Prawn suit, refresh charged stasis, resume double punching.
8) Repeat step 7 until leviathan is dead.

Yeah... I've started overcoming my fear of Leviathans and now I'm just killing them so I can actually explore the regions they patrol. I've already found an unexpected purple tablet in the underwater mountain caves. :D

Just hang on with a grappling hook and go to town with the normal arm, not the drill.

Takes too long - with all the banging about you'll actually land very few hits (took me 8-10 minutes to punch a Reaper to death once). With two Prawn punching arms and a stasis rifle, you can kill a Leviathan in less than 3 minutes once you get him in place.

The ones in the lost river are only small, the big ones are in the grand reef and the void.

Don't use the Forest entrance.

In the blood kelp trench is another. It is a bit smaller and more difficult to navigate, but the Leviathan is quite rare present there. I use this entrance alsways and had never seen him. And you can always turn off the engine and the lights to become completely invisible for predators.

The Ghost Leviathan Juvenile barely bothered my Prawn. I build an outpost in the Lost River above the Waterfall build it from the materials found pretty much near and below the ghost leviathan. It hardly ever bothered with my Brawn and if it did, i gave it a hit on the nose with the fist and it scampered off.

Its always there, it just busy chasing the other fishies around. You can get a cyclops past it with silent running and without lights... and you can move your prawn about without it bothering. You have to be pretty much directly below it for it to aggro.

....
As someone who killed off most leviathans on my save, I must say... why so complicated.

I just ram cyclopse in the face, then exit in my undies and chop obnoxious fish with thermal knife until dead.

Also... don't try to drill arm ghost leviathans... you are liable to run out of power before it dies. Ughh

FYI, contrary to common sense, heat blade does more damage over time then drill arm or claw arm even if you use 2 at the same time.

Well this directly opposes the dev's vision of the game. Your nto meant to be going round killing anything. I've seen so many people supporting the dev's and "their vision" but are happy to throw it out the window for the sake of trying to kill things.

Since people are so supportive of the devs and their decisions, How about people play the game as intended and simply avoid such creatures, many in here will state its easily done.

If the dev's wanted you to be able to kill creatures intentionally then they would of provided you with the tools to do so instead of you having to re-purpose existing equipment. I dont agree with their vision but you know what its like here in these forums....

You do realise they had to program those tools to be able to kill and the creatures to be able to die.

They can die and have death animations. Why allow them to die and have animations for it if you arnt supposed to be able to kill them.
I just want to so i dont have to worry about it attacking me because from what i have seen, decoy beacons do complete jack and it will be hard to get away from it in such a tight area with some places just barley fiting the cyclops through.
Also it will allow me to scan it more easily.

In an area like that, if it aggros then your done, not enough room to get away and it will kill your cyclops in 5 hits. Killing it may take longer but it makes it safer and less dangerous along eith allowing easier scanning. Trying to escape it in a slow moving cyclops in areas where you have to slowly angle and inch your way through is unlikely to succeed.

It's odd that so many people fixate on the Ghost in the Lost River.

1. Try to get by it when it isn't close to your side of the "pit."
2. Go for the pit fast, so you can get out of the Ghost's aggro territory as quickly as possible.
3. If you have to...take the hit and keep running/swimming for the pit. Once you fall past the Ghost's area, it won't follow you and you can heal/repair as needed. (Edit, when I do get attacked, I use the PRAWN drill arm to dissuade the Ghost from making a second attack right away).

Edit: This is based on not taking the Cyclops past the Ghost. I've never bothered trying, and it's not necessary in order to finish the game (I've done it).

Dev vision also includes firing someone who has an opinion because some ♥♥♥♥ cried about it. While keeping feminist toxic garbage around.

They are entitled to have their opinion. And we are entitled to give less then 0 ♥♥♥♥♥ about em.

Btw you don't include health, death animation and corpse clean up by accident. So that whole guns magically fly around and kill little girls in their cribs argument you hear from uwe is just as hypocritical as their "supposed" no violence idea. Torpedos, missile launchers, 2 ships full of people dead, indiscriminate killing quarantine mechanic, doomsday mechanic, sword, gun, super bomb... ETC... no violence. Right...

That's just incorrect.

Anyone who says someone was fired for having an opinion is just wrong, either intentionally, or because they can't comprehend the situation.

People don't get fired for having opinions.

People get fired for voicing their opinions in a way that can potentially damage their employer's reputation. Most companies these days have social media policies that explicitly communicate this to their employees, and in most cases, accepting employment at these companies constitutes tacit agreement to those terms.

They have an employee that goes typical feminish ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about men on twitter... she is still there. So your whole point is not really valid.

Just like someone having an opinion bears no damn correlation with their capability to perform their assigned task. Issues about penis size should be addressed to professionals not on twitter in form of riots about everything they possibly can.

Also you are trying to conjure facts where they don't exist. They all knew how he is... and they don't talk in office all they discuss is one online... they are fully aware of each others "social" media tendencies... it became a problem only because they are gutless sheep with no morals or self respect. Anyway I'm done discussing that. They aren't worth it and person in question is better off imo. He even looked happy in interviews and personally sad it was probably for the best.
