Considering you have to go thru the lost river to get there, and be more advanced in the game to go deeper that isn't very helpful in my opinion.
That's possible. It might be easier to find in the lava zones though. I didn't know it was even in the lost river until I read the responses on this thread. XD
and as far as i know- ... it is only in single drops-.. i have never found drillable sulfur
You can take a drill arm and the grappling 'hook' arm in your inventory in case you see something you want to drill, and the grappling arm makes it way easier to traverse the area and get up cliffs.
Here, if you want distance, direction and coordinates .......

The other end of the Lost River is very deep in the grand reef where a degasi base and Crabsquids are located. Go below the base and the green river is there. (Grand Reef is south of the Aurora (where the engines face) and under the big floating Island but you need to go deep.
As for distance from your pod 5 well, that isnt helpful because the Lost river is under your pod...under the shallows sea bed making relative navigation awkward. You need to locate either of the two ends (Lifepod 2 or the Degasi base in the deeper part of the grand reef)
