Where is Crystalline Sulphur?
I have looked in the Lost River, found Nickel, and Uranite. I have walked my PRAWN in the lava zones after dropping off the edge just after the Cove Tree and found drilling mounds of pretty much normal materials and that blue Kyanite stuff but I found one small lump of Christilline Sulphur there and that's it. Every drillable mound I think might be it turns out to be uranite or Gold or Copper. I have a base at the Cove Tree and cameras out as far as they can go but it does not list Crystalline in the scanner room. I am thinking of building in the Lava zone and putting a scanner room there to see if that one picks any up. All the guides say it is in the lava zone but I have only found that one tiny piece.

I am in need of it too, but I have found it in other places I am sure. But I can't find it either.

Lost River, under the brine.

Lost river. Look down at the green "river". Find shallow spots and look just under the surface. You will find it there. Just be careful and don't dip yourself into the green stuff...

Alternatively to the lost river, if you go into the inactive lava zones thorougly deep (or the active lava castle/river), you have to get REALLY close to the actual lava but then you'll see crystaline sulfur on the walls of upraised ground.

Considering you have to go thru the lost river to get there, and be more advanced in the game to go deeper that isn't very helpful in my opinion.

That's possible. It might be easier to find in the lava zones though. I didn't know it was even in the lost river until I read the responses on this thread. XD

i found most of what i needed under the brine in the shallow parts of the river. and then in the very deep lava regions - seems a theme you either have an empty arm on the prawn or you have to .. EVA as it were... into damaging environments to get them-- if you found Kyanite- you probaly floated by some crystal sulfur it looks a bit different in the lava back drop

and as far as i know- ... it is only in single drops-.. i have never found drillable sulfur

Take your Prawn to the Lost River and walk through the brine to find the crystalline sulfur. Keep one arm upgrade-free so you can pick up the sulfur with the Prawn hand.

You can take a drill arm and the grappling 'hook' arm in your inventory in case you see something you want to drill, and the grappling arm makes it way easier to traverse the area and get up cliffs.

wow, thank you all so much, I read that it was in the lava zone and once took a dip in the green stuff and it hurt which probably explains why i cant find the stuff. On my way back to the river now, thank you so much.

I have typically found it in the lost river when going from the old survivors 500 base to the ghost tree. I usually have the reenforced dive suit, so the damage is minimal if you take a quick dive. It also does minimal damage to the seamoth if you just go in for a few seconds to look around and out. So, typically, I drive the seamoth into the green, look around and see if I can see any, drive back out and hover over it, then hop out, use the seaglide to do a quick dive down, grab, and back up. I might go through 2 med kits before I collect enough for everything I will need in the game.

Build a scanner room at your river base, extend range, get the hud chip. You should be able to find an appreciable amount in the lost river and a few mounds in the lava zone. Man I really wish the cyclops could get a resource scanner.

So many replies and not one coordinate or direction/distance from pod...

If you use the becon from the Degasi Base in the Grand Reef at about 500 M, just turn on that Becon and follow it...that will help guide your way down to the Lost River, which is where you'll find what you're looking for ( this is one of three entrances to the deeper Biomes )

Here, if you want distance, direction and coordinates .......

lost river entrance starts near lifepod 2 (the EXO's pod) Once you get the radio signal from there taking the cave (passed a mesmer) near the lifepod is the start of the river biome. Maybe someone somewhere posted co-ordinates for lifepod 2, offhand I dont have them.

The other end of the Lost River is very deep in the grand reef where a degasi base and Crabsquids are located. Go below the base and the green river is there. (Grand Reef is south of the Aurora (where the engines face) and under the big floating Island but you need to go deep.

As for distance from your pod 5 well, that isnt helpful because the Lost river is under your pod...under the shallows sea bed making relative navigation awkward. You need to locate either of the two ends (Lifepod 2 or the Degasi base in the deeper part of the grand reef)
