Vezi statistici:
Creepiest and safest biomes in your opinion?
Which biome is the creepiest (which one is unsettling, makes you feel on edge constantly.) and which one do you feel is the safest (obviously other than Safe Shallows)? And give reasons why :P

My creepiest biomes are Sparse Reef, Grand Reef, and Dunes.

Sparse Reef: I realize that there is basically nothing there that can attack you. It's actually like one of the safest biomes in the game, maybe even the safest (yes, maybe safer than Safe Shallows because sometimes Stalkers come from Kelp Forest). But knowing that, I don't feel reassured one bit. It is so eerie! Like the murky green water, the creepy, empty music, and how there's literally like nothing there. I like having fish around me, and yes there are fish but not too many. It's just unsettling to me.

Grand Reef: I hate how deep it is. I mean I've gone deeper, I've gone to the Lava Lakes but I went through Blood Kelp Trench (which is tight, because it's a narrow trench), and went into the Lost River then went from there. I think the deepness of the Grand Reef scares me because it's so open. And also, GL's roaming around the open area of the Grand Reef...

Dunes: To be fully honest, I haven't been in the Dunes yet. And that's the thing. It's so terrifying I can't even go near the border. I have seen it, though, and I can tell you that I don't want to go in there anytime soon. The Reapers, and how open it is. There's like nothing to protect you and the place is swarming with Reapers. Yeah, no thanks.

Now my safest biomes are (again, other than Safe Shallows) Grassy Plateus and Lost River (yes, you heard me right, the Lost River. But I have reasons!)

Grassy Plateus: I don't know why, but whenever I hear or see Reefbacks I feel safe (yes, I know there's a Reefback in the Sparse Reef but I never see it or hear it because my Sparse Reef base is quite deep, right next to the Grand Reef). They're gentle giants that I love! I just love being in the Grassy Plateus. I like how deep it is, too. Not too deep so that there's no sun but not too shallow. It's really peaceful, too, other than the Sandsharks.

Lost River: Now this may sound wacky but I genuinely feel safe in this biome, at least in Creative mode. It's not too open, and I love the green atmosphere. It's quite peaceful too. Now, as for the Ghost Leviathans, like I said I really only feel safe in this biome in Creative mode (but I'll have you know I'm not scared in Survival mode either, but let's be honest it's hard to feel safe when you're in a cave with a GL and they want to attack you). In Creative mode, the GL's don't attack. I actually think they're kinda cute! They're also not too big because they're juveniles. I think they're funny because they're a little weird in Creative mode (they just spin around and run into walls).

But yeah, what are your creepiest and safest biomes?

For me, the Crash Zone is the scariest (I'd rather have a nice long visit of the Dunes and don't find them that bad, considering the RL's got a heavily toned down aggro zone and sight.) And the Grassy Plateaus and Safe Shallows are the safest places. The most beautiful, imo, are the (Deep) Grand Reef and the Lost River. And the Void still creeps me out the most. It was true horror going down there with just the Sea Glide, scanning a GL and then going back. Expect for the ones in the Void, I don't mind Ghosties, though.

I'd say the Crater Edge/Void. Nowhere to go but down. No land, no flora, no fauna, not so much as a rock.

Just miles, and miles, and miles of empty water. No sight except for pitch black darkness. No sound except the screeches of Ghost Leviathans charging you.
Up until yesterday the only place that freaked me out was the caves with the Degrasi, after yesterday I have to say the Grand Reef because I just got chomped on by a RL.......safest Id have to say the Plateau and Safe Shallows.

My favorite place to build a base is the giant tree cove. Gives you direct access to the lava zone, and puts you right in the middle of a treasure trove of materials to mine in the prawn suit. And absolutely nothing is aggressive there.

Blood kelp zone never fails to creep me out. I know that there's very little there that poses a threat to me, but it still is just unsettling.

The crash zone behind the aurora. The reapers hidden in that murky brown water. The crag field is spooky because it borders the crash zone, and it just feels so remote.

The dunes doesnt really bother me. If I go in the prawn suit its not bad at all. Its a nice open biome where Reapers seldom sneak up on ya.

My safest are the sparse reef and safe shallows.

How deep is the giant tree cove biome?

Spoilers :

From the opening entrance under the Moonpool, the depth is just above 900 m and to the floor of the Tree Cove it's about 930 m.
So taking one's Seamoth down there to expolre around is possible if it has a fully upgraded depth module as long as you don't dive below 900 m.

I have to say the Dunes and NE side of the Mountain Island, going deep and creeping toward the Void, but even just as unnerving is off the stern of the Aurora where Sammy hangs out.

The creepiest I would say is the Dunes due to the openness and how easy it is to go running into a leviathan or off the edge of the map and then a leviathan.

According to the story, the only safe place would be the Mountain Island because it's out of the water. Many of the lifepods or bases in certain biomes, even ones where Reapers are not in the game, have a tale to tell about being attacked even there by Leviathans. I've had Reaper Leviathans in every biome in the past, be it glitches or they fled that direction. When that has happened, it's easy to see how nimble and capable they are to fit just about anywhere. This is why I say the Mountain Island is the only safe place.

The reason I don't vote for the floating island, is because we see evidence of them sinking. Also, currently it is perfectly balanced, but what if by building a base in reality you were to throw off that balance? I know these aren't game mechanics. I'm purely speaking from a roleplaying/story aspect. If I had to survive, I would take up residence on the Mountain Island and build support for heavy rains and long periods without food. This is why I usually fill lockers with salted fish and have 4 water filter machines to pump out bottles of water.

According to the Lore though, Ghost Leviathans go through that channel, and that tree is holding the egg of more than one of them being born, so it may be possible that from a roleplaying aspect, that is a very dangerous spot to build a base.
for me the creepiest biome the boime under the underwater islands
i just hate the darkness and all those bonesharks and falling into a gesyer
safest for me is the lost river
the ghost levi doesnt scare me and if you are afraid you can jump into a brine cave
enemys cant get down there and if they try they die from the brine

The sparse reef is the scariest for me because of one incident during the EA. I was just messing around with my sea moth scouting out places to make a base when a reaper no clipped out of the ground and grabbed my seamoth. This was the first time I had ever seen one so I panicked and hit E, that kicked me out of my seamoth which the reaper dragged under the ground as he left. Sparse reef close to the deep grand reef is safest because nothing is in that area. The sounds of the sparse reef also hike the creepy factor way up.
The scariest biomes for me are the Mountains, Crag Field, Dunes, Crash Zone and Dead Zone the Mountains and Dunes are scary because you never know if you will see the Reaper Leviathan when you are wandering around in the depth. Crash Zone basically same thing but less deep. I don't really feel good entering the Crag Field because it's super dark there and you never know if you will accidentally enter the Dead Zone. I HATE THE DEAD ZONE because of Ghost leviathans they really freak me out!

The safest biome to me would be the mushroom biome because nothing attacks me there.

It's very easy to get back up. Just jump off and wait about two minutes.
