thats not overkill, its called preference and immersion.
keep in mind it will still be a bit wonky running it in a mode (true fullscreen) that the game doesnt support, but you will get the results you want.

win 7 pro 64bit

im running every graphics setting for this game on the highest it goes as well.
i get 60fps, with a few drops here and there but averages 60 most of the time, havent tried unlocking my gpu to see if i get higher fps than 60 tho.
i run on a 55in 4k tv, i also have a 50in 1080p tv but i mainly use that on my laptop to surf the web/download and view my own stream, my gaming pc does the streaming/recording while playing games.
