what happens if the PRAWN touches the lava?

didn't got to the lava biomes yet, but I'm really curious, does it explode/take dmg? what about the heat, does it damage the suit?

I just knifed it off.. didn't see much difference in dmg/pwr use.. but honestly it was probably not on my PRAWN very long. :P

River Prowlers however take more dmg off your PRAWN than a Reaper.. so stay away from those, you can drill them away, like you can anything else.

Edit: Oh lava..never tried.. save beforehand.. :P

Heat does not dmg the suit, though it can power it with an upgrade.. very useful, and vents are all around in places to recharge.. I just take 4 P.cells in the storage section just in case.

Good idea to put some salted fish and some water along with healthpacks if you are going to explore around..

I tried it because I was curious once. Lava itself damages the suit(even if heat powers it), though it is not instant death like if you touched it yourself. I forget how much damage exactly but it was not a lot of damage for the few seconds I was on it. I just jumped out and fixed it up with my welder no problem. (This was like one update back but I dont see why it would have changed to drastically?)

Also take a reinforced dive suit.

One additional point - if the Prawn's heat gauge maxed out, it can take damage.
