I think staying on the planet (that belongs to me now) is the right thing to do. I have an enforcement platform to stop any new ignorant aliens or Federation douchebags messing with the wildlife (or me).
This reminds me about the hilarious PDA message, when picking up the first diamond.
When escaping the planet, Ryley is NOT allowed to land on the Alterra planet he travels to until he settles his dept of 1 TRILLION CREDITS!
So escaping the planet might be canon, but from a financial perspective it's a bad choice. XD
