Air pipe animation / sound.
Dunno if this is intended, but when using air pipes & air pump - when you connect the pipes into a room the pipe just clips through the room structure and you just see the end of a air pipe nozzle sticking out of the ceiling or wall, and it's animation and sound is the same as when it under / in water. Eg, it's blowing air bubbles that look like their under water and the sound is just bubbling water sound. It's reallty quite annoying.

Is there any way to get it so the animation and specifically the sound is correct ?

You don't connect the pipes into anything you build. Just power the base and it'll produce its own oxygen.

Did the exact same thing in my first game.

The pipes are for getting air to 'hard to reach' places where you ether can't fit a seamoth for new air, don't yet have a seamoth for that and/or don't have the tank to get in and out.

Or for decoration, because some people just like the look of bubbles.

Oh lol, I was thinking I that I could use the pipes to provide air to solar powered early game builds during night. So at least the building could have air to breath even though it's underpowered during the night.

Oh well never mind. Have to figure out how to do all that thermal generator stuff I guess.

Thanks guys.

Solar power does work though the night. In the day your base will build up a store of power from the light and so long as you ether don't have to many thing draining that power over the night or enough solar panels gaining in the day you wont loose power when the sun sets.

But getting other things to power the base is still a good long term investment.
