Rare Versions Of Creatures

I know ive seen someone with this idea but it would be really cool to see rare varieties of creatures like a Dragon Leviathan that is all beat up and maybe a dull green or a different color entierly. Or go even further like make a Reaper Leviathan that has the same features but looks waaaaaay different with like color scemes and look maybe even size. I unno just seems like a cool thing they could add way down the road

EDIT ~ turns out I saw a peice of art called broken tusk thats what gave me the idea to do something like that with some if not all the creatures

kinda but thats just a different biome version im talking like it would be swimming around in the regular area with the regular reapers or whatever creature

It is a topic that has been brought up several times here in the forum. Maybe a feature the devs will do after the game gets to v1.0 later in the year.

I think i remember seeing some concept art of a unique reaper levithan that would be bigger than a normal one, have scars all over its body, and i think one of its tusks were broken. It also would have had a name. I think the devs might add it, but first fix everything. But it would be cool to have a dead island type of mechanic with unique versions of creatures with extra features an new PDA report on them.

Shinys in subnautica? I actually like that idea, the fish could have different colourations depending on the biome and depth they spawned in
