Might as well say the "Dear steam forums visitors. Stop being upset we're cutting content. We're going to keep cutting content" trello card means they will never give us cyclops docking before launch. It's on the trello too, after all.
https://trello.com/c/8wrhxI58
We will probably see cyclops docking before we see a lot of "It's on the trello! It's planned!" stuff. Though it's already relegated to the "Maybe after launch?" pile alongside clocks, jetpacks, and female protagonist at the moment.
We may even see the docking bay get lifted out of the "maybe after 1.0" scrap heap in time for launch, if things go well.
But If Cyclops dock is a SURE thing just because it's listed on the trello, we would be able to consider the rest of the "Maybe after launch" list a sure thing as well. Those too, are "on the trello." Or would there be a sudden 180 into screaming the Trello is no longer a sure thing, when it's not so convenient to act like it is?
That's where all the missgivings are. Because "On the trello" is also where stuff like the Artic biome and base telepors are. It's why loudly proclaiming "It's on the trello, you can't say it won't be put in!" is so frustrating, because there is so much on the trello we all want, that probably won't get, no matter how cool and awesome it sounds.
there are things I would change but all in all its nice but since the update something eats away my energy, even with engines off... Can someone tell me what is cousing the energy loss? Here´s what´s installed:
-pictureframe
-coffeemaker
-growing bed
-aquarium
-trash bin
-com relay
-battery+Cell charger (fully charged - yhea, I know it´s like cheating)
However if they are full, those should not be draining you at the moment unless unlike a base, they drain for the hell of it even when full.
Though now I'm curious if Com relays really does drai energy for the hell of it like DRplays said. So I'll look into making a solar panel powered tube with nothing but a com relay in it, to see if that goes down any at night. (I have an overly large fascination with the power interactions/efficiencies in this game)
EDIT: Nope. At night a tiny T tube with nothing but a chair, storage locker, and coms relay does NOT drain any power from it's single solar panel.
As a further check, nope a battery charger with 100% batteries does not cause any drain to it either.
I wonder if they Cyclops just... drains power anyways just because. I'll take a peek in a moment... Nope, a cyclops where the only added item is the coms relay isn't draining my power with the engines off odd.
...Mystery drain guy. stupid question. Are you in the lava zones prone to energy sucking lava larva? Or do you have a docked vehichle charging?
I hate the soundtrack in almost all situations. But the techno stuff is dreadful.
I always disable the music, 100%
Unless the game has some kind of musical cue to forewarn the player of danger, which this doesn't seem to
Also the have 'de-nerfed' it a little in the new update:

Could be worse when it comes to cyclops bugs though. Earlier in the thread somebody had their Cyclops get blown up seemingly for just being inside the containment facility area.
It's either a Lava Larva (if you are in the Active or Inactive Lava Zones) or your coffee maker. The battery and cell chargers won't drain power once the batteries or powercells are charged and the comm relay doesn't draw any power right now for some odd reason. Expect that to change once another use has been found for it, though.
EDIT: Took out a response.
There will be no Cyclops docking for 1.0. We are exploring the possibility of it being a post 1.0 addition, but no promises.
Yes, the Trello board, in particular the Roadmap board, should never be used as an example of definitive features and dates. And we've been quite up front about the fact that EVERYTHING on there is subject to change. Those are internal boards that we adjust for our own development purposes, and we just simply made them public, for a peek behind the scenes of game development. And game development is a very fluid and ever changing process.
No feature is safe from being cut, and no feature should be assumed to get added to the game, especially ones that are in the "Maybe after 1.0 " section. Subnautica, with the exception of a few last bits to get the end game fully realized, is essentially feature complete. We are reserving the last months of development for bug fixes, polish, and optimization. We have many reasons why it would really be beneficial for us to hit a fall release date, though even if we did end up slipping, it doesn't mean we would be using the extra time to add in more features and content. It would still be used for further bug fixes, polish, and optimization.
I'm sure there will be a lot of people upset at the thought of the game hitting feature complete, because everyone has their own ideas about what features are absolutely essential for 1.0, but we have no plans for Subnautica to be a never releasing Early Access title. The team has plenty of ideas and features we'd love to see realized, and hopefully if things go well with release we'll be able to do more with Subnautica post launch.
Though that still doesn't keep the revolving door defenses from many posters any less frustrating. Spinning rapidly between "It's on the trello/roadmap, stop asking about it! Because that means you don't have faith in the Devs!" and "LOL why did you think the trello/roadmap would stick? Thinking the roadmap means literally anything, means you're entitled!"
Users here tell people to check the Trello when they ask "when is the game going to be done or when will we get A,B, or C". We SHOULDN'T have to tell these same people that everything in the Trello is tentative (besides the completed cards obv).
The "why did you think the Trello would stick" responses start coming out when these same people or even new people will come back here and start a rant about how they want "A" in their game. They get pissy because something gets taken out or moved to "after 1.0".
Saying that our answers frustrate players is futile and applies that what we are saying somehow hurts curious players. These players would get less hurt, less frustrated, if they actually paid attention and red the first large picture on the Trello.
"Our best guess. Looks official but we have no idea. Subject to change."
