Archway Portal in the Dunes..?

earlier on in the game I found what I assume is another archway portal, can't get past the forcefield. I figured it was one that you can unlock at the primary facility. Well I have finished that facility now and the one I found earlier was not one of them.

Can anyone tell me where the other end of this portal is so I can go and unlock it please? I thought I had found them all and unlocked the in the last game but I missed this one.

The other side of that portal is a long way the way and it is part of the main storyline telling you where it is would be a spoiler in effect

The portal was inside of you the whole time.

Subnautica's writers went with a cheesy metaphorical message of self discovery instead of learning more about the evolution of fish.

Well I have already completed the game once, and all I have to do in this game is build rocket and leave.. So main story is basically done, that's partly why I am curious about it.

I'm sorry Panther I did not notice you were the original poster. You actually open that portal later in the game. If I recall correctly it's 1 of a group of four. And did you attempt to mine all of those ioncube? LOL

That's just it, I HAVE unlocked all 4, or 5 actually, at the primary facility. This one is NOT one of those, that's why I am trying to find out where the other side is. The side with the "switch".

I'm trying to think of which one you mean because you say in the dunes and the only thing I know into Dunes is what's called a sanctuary. I don't recall any Archway in the dunes

The sanctuaries are different. I will have to look at it later when I'm on my PC

It's in a crater like area. I can go back and get the co-ordinates if you want me too.

EDIT; Ok, the co-ordinates are -1188, -376, 1127. There is an opening to a small tunnel that leads to a forcefield. No way thru, so it has to be unlocked from the other side.

That one in the crater should be the meteor crater in the dunes which is a sanctuary. I believe that requires a purple tablet to access it ;-)
