Reaper Leviathan at my lifepod?
So as I was coming home from my trip to the Inactive Lava Zone, I was adding stuff to my base. While I was searching for quartz, I heard a screech then saw a Reaper Leviathan above me in the Grassy Plains. It then proceeded to swim closer to my base, destroying my Seamoth and shoving my Prawn Suit in a hole and making it stuck. Any reason why it was there? Is it because I'm on like day 80? Help please, I can't really pilot my Cyclops and I'm scared for my Cuddlefish

When you damage creatures, they tend to migrate towards the center of map, X,Y,Z cords 0,0,0. Had you recently damaged a Reaper prior to your trip to the ILZ? Or on your way back? Enemies have a "flee" distance, before resetting aggro. Sometimes it only takes one instance of damage to send a creature to the center, sometimes it only makes em go a small bit before they stop and patrol a new zone (or sometimes return to prior area)

I'm sorry to hear about your stuff!

Go and knife some Gasopods to injure them and coral them to the 0,0,0 point and get your revenge on the Reaper with alien poots.

I would die of fear
Or kill the Reaper yourself. Stasis rifle it at max charge, knife it 10 times. Stasis it again at max charge, knife it 10 times. Repeat until dead.
So, once you kill a particular hostile, is it gone permanently from the game? And if you only injure it, it moves towards x=0, z=0?

If so, I might have to breed some gasopods. I really hate lava leeches and I saw a cloud of them (probably at 0,0) at a spot of the ILZ. I bet it is those that escaped me when I dislodged them from the cyclops. Dropping a gasopod there would be a perfect cleanup method.

Not sure, but I imagine that even if the Reaper respawns, it'll do so where it's supposed to be, and not in the shallows (or wherever OP is).
For your problem, yeah, I imagine breeding several fish that can eat the leeches would help.
Leviathans do not respawn.
(At least, not when killed by the player. Not sure what happens when they get killed by other creatures.)

Leviathans actually spawn back when killed by a player. It's for discouraging killing. As this is a game of survival and exploration. Just try to learn the nature of things and ways to avoid them. It's more fun that way.

I played on Hardcore so I didn't make a habit of hunting Leviathans, but the one Leviathan I did kill, did not respawn. What makes you think they respawn?

Just turn console on and
instagib it in one knife strike then turn console back off, save, and reload game to turn achievement progress back on.

Lava Lizards actively hunt and kill Lava Leeches. But yes Gasogpods are good defensive cleaners.

If you play for long enough, things in the game do seem to respawn, from resources, Metal Salvage, to Data boxes, Vac-Pacs, and Leviathans.

I have pics of a Reaper trying to go inside the Alien QEP Arch (where roomate was building a base) We had our Cyclops 2 Seamoth and a Prawn there I had to get out the way. I took a bunch of screen shots of this out of place Reaper, before releasing 3 third-generation bred in activity Ampeels and a single Stasis Rifle blast.

The Reaper bought died from the electrocution stack, and when the Field wore off it swam off high speed with all 3 Ampeels chasing it clipping through the Mountain Island. One Ampeel returned to patrol the area passively and even let me pick it back up. The other 2 never returned and I can still hear the Reaper roaring inside the Mountain.

Didn't kill it, but got it away and it was way more satisfying then boring Statis+Knife spam. Zzzzzz.

Yeah, don't do this.

Specific leviathan's i killed always respawned. Lost river ghost leviathans, reaper leviathan near the island. All respawned the next time i open the game. I think the only way to get rid of them permanently is to build in their hitbox and make them disappear. A friend told me they never respawn that way but not too sure
