Repairing Aurora after explosion

What will happen if i failed to repair the aurora before explosion, but i repair it instead later in the game a few days after it explode? Is the rad will be permanent in the game or it will dissapear?

You cannot stop the explosion from happening (It is a scripted event) and you cannot enter the Aurora until after the explosion (There is no hole to enter through)
If you fail to repair after the explosion, then radiation will be surrounding the ship for the rest of the game. This is not a game breaking phenomenon, you just need to wear the radiation suit when near the Aurora or take damage. There are no other consequences to sea life.

I did manage to repair the drive core few days after the explosion , so it means the rad will be gone ?

There's a blueprint in the Aurora that is required to complete the game, so clearing up the radiation is also essential to progressing the game.

You can perfectly finish the game without fixing the engine, the only thing it changes is that you can safely discard the anti radiation suit.

I know this because on my first playthrough I never fixed the core and did not get the achievement. One of the two that is miss-able.

Discarding the radiation suit depends wether or not one wants to use nuclear reactors, which are really useful.

hi im fairly new at the game. so after the explosion i can enter the auroura to repair it? what would that encompass..?

Just patching some holes. You need a repair tool, a laser cutter, an extinguisher, a propulsion cannon, and a few batteries.

Near the bow (front) of the ship, there is a hole to enter the carcass.
