Killing a Gasopod

I tried to make a Gas Torpedo, but i needed the Gas Pods. So i decided to kill a few of the Gasopods, but i can't kill 'em. I tried it with the Stasis Rifle, but they don't freeze.

you don't kill gasopods for their gas pods they release them when you're near them

subnautica is not about killing. it is not intended that you can kill anything apart from the food you need to survive.
