Lost Radiation Suit helmet - how to get back?

I switched from my radiation's suit helmet to the rebreather and when I went to restore it to go the Aurora... it is no longer in my inventory.

Is this a bug? Although it is possible that even though I can't imagine how I dropped it from inventory without noticing.

Is there a way to get it back without recreating the whole radiation suit?

No, sorry. I left my radiation helmet in my Seamoth when it was destroyed by a Reaper. You have to make the whole suit again, it's kinda dumb.

That sucks, but at least it is reasonably cheap. Except for the Lead... I seem to always have trouble finding it.

This exact thing happened to me. It was in my Seamoth when it was rekt by a Reaper (rest in peace first seamoth) Luckily, I didn't need the radiation suit anymore. You can only get it back by crafting the entire suit again.
