like all the things inside there are not attacking maybe that piepe system just pumps that water full of drugs I dunno
She's so far down to the point where there's LAVA, so even if she could escape, i'd doubt she could get out unscathed because of the Sea Dragons swimming about and possibly the temperature.
She'd be abandoning her eggs, which she clearly cares very much about, if she left herself.
She wants to eradicate the Carar from the planet and save the worlds inhabitants, she's trained Peepers to carry her enzyme to the other biomes via water Pipe System specifically to spread it.
Because she's old and weak (She seems to collapse in exhaustion after you free her young) i'd doubt she could carry on forever, so her children would be the best way to eradicate the disease once and for all.
Are you assuming the Sea Emperor was able to break the walls of the prison? If not, she still would have had to enter an oxygen atmosphere before trying to get out. I don't think the Sea Emperor could breathe air. If she tried to get out she would get stuck, suffocate, and die.
Some people like it to, yes. It helps to get into the atmosphere of the story or game if the audience can really believe that it can happen. See: Suspension Of Disbelief.

And for all we know, much of what is in this game actually could happen. We just haven't seen any of it happen yet.

Well, the data bank entry does say she is 1600 years old and that she has lived well in excess of the peak lifespan for her species: http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Sea_Emperor_Leviathan
Not risking it's young perhaps? Maybe it's not suited to the Lava environment?
