Sea Emperor Leviathan makes no sense *spoilers*
In my opinion, the sea emperor leviathan makes no sense. How has it not yet escaped its containment? We know from in-game lore that it has been in there for almost 1000 years, and so have its eggs, so we know it wasn't placed inside as a baby. Also we see the Sea Dragon Leviathan, which is a fraction of the size of the emperor, absolutely wreck the other containment facility. Some of the damages seen in game could have been caused by the environment, but looking at the lack of wear of the other facilities it is likely that most of the damage was caused by the dragon. So how has the emperor not broken out in centuries? If it wants to free its children so badly, it should be able to cause severe enough damage to the containment facility to escape, especially over the course of a millenia.

Maybe because the sea emperor is too old and frail? Her species doesn't seem to be build for fighting. The sea dragon is more suited to it.

Then what are those enormous claws for, and the sharp teeth? Also, it has had a thousand years in there, I'm pretty sure it should be able to use those giant claws or simply its enormous mass to break down the walls.

"Around the year 1940, a Goa'uld queen was discovered in a canopic jar in an ancient temple created by Ra on Pangar. Realizing that the Goa'uld possess perfect health from their studies of the temple, the Pangarans immediately began researching how to utilize the Queen's offspring as to reap the same health benifits. After decades of experimentation, Tretonin was developed. However, unknown to the pangarans, the goa'uld queen they were using was Egeria, the origin of the Tok'ra. Also unknown to them, Egeria had intentionally introduced a defective gene into her offspring, hoping to render them useless to the Pangarans in their attempts to perfect the drug. However, while this gene did succeed in hindering the overall effectiveness of the drug, it still proved to be quite effective, and thus the pangarans continued to use her offspring in increasing numbers."

"By 2002, it had become apparent to the Pangarans that Egeria was dying. Thus, if a new source of Goa'uld symbiotes was not found, the 20% of Pangarans presently taking the drug would be cut-off from it, resulting in their death. With the help of the Tok'ra and Egeria, an antidote for tretonin was developed, therein saving the lives of those affected. (SG1: "Cure")"

She ended up dying as well, and she could have escaped.

Those look kinda like arms. They seem to to eat micro-organisms filtered from the water, it probably isn't very sharp. Maybe too old to have enough strength to break down the walls.

Deep man. Deep.
Is it a bad thing that SG1 recall makes perfect sense to me?

Well it was, pretty much, the same situation.. :P I guess I watched SG-1 a little too much.. but I tend to do that. :D

I don't see what this really has to do with the leviathan. I've never seen Stargate, but from what I can gleam it appears the queen likely didn't want to kill anyone, so she chose not to escape. The leviathan facility however had been abandoned for centuries, so there would be no risk of others coming to harm because of its escape.

True the queen was more peaceful than her children the Tok'ra who had no issues killing the Goa'uld hosts.

Maybe it have something to do with the incubator device?

That's definitely a good idea, as the pda entry says somehing about the incubator penetrating the eggs to supply them with nutrients. That may be why the leviathan doesn't escape, as the eggs can't be moved and weakening the facility could endager the eggs.
